Why we store cookies on our website?

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

If you have created your own member profile, you will be asked your basic personal information in order to be able to identify you when you login to our member area, and/or to be able to provide the service for you. Please note that if you upload your image, you register with us your visiting address and your first name, last name, e-mail address, they may be visible/accessible by other ARCSAR Innovation Arena members.

While we do our utmost best to secure our websites, we still encourage you not to share personally identifiable informaiton such as ID’s Passport details, social security numbers, bank account details, home addresses, family ties, work and/or personal related privileged information and so on. Please exercise common sense.

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Event logs are kept for an undisclosed time. Event logs include: comments, login/out instances, posts, account creations, basically user interactions with our sites are generating event logs which help us detect security breaches and attacks. They do not reveal any personal identifiable information. Other unspecified logs can be recorded in the future and will be listed here as the project web pages and Innovation Arena receive new features/updates.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media on our internal areas

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact forms

If you contact us we will collect the email address you nominate and any other identifying information you provide, such as a name or phone number. Please do not give us other personal or sensitive information.

On our contact forms we use the reCaptcha service from Google in order to filter spam e-mails. This site is protected by reCAPTCHA and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.

Newsletters

By signing up with your e-mail address you acknowledge that you wish to receive our newsletter to the e-mail you provided. We do not collect any other information. Your e-mail address is only used to send you our newsletter and information about the activities of ARCSAR. E-mails collected are stored on our service provider’s database Mailchimp. You can always use the unsubscribe link included in the newsletter to stop receiving e-mails and erase your e-mail from our database. Similarly you can visit the link on the bottom-right of the page to unsubscribe. Signups are protected by reCAPTCHA and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.

Who we share your data with?

Analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics, a service which transmits website traffic data to Google servers in the United States. Google Analytics does not identify individual users or associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. We use reports provided by Google Analytics to help us understand website traffic and webpage usage.

By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner described in Google’s Privacy Policy – external site and for the purposes set out above. You can opt out of Google Analytics if you disable or refuse the cookie, disable JavaScript, or use the opt-out service provided by Google – external site.

Please notice that we also may use third party plugins in order to be able to provide users with the service. We do not guarantee if other third party plugins may or may not have access to your data.

Where we send your data?

Comments for this website have been disabled by default. However if in the future they are opened, visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

How long we retain your data?

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. This data is stored for statistics and for providing service to registered users. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time. Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data?

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
