Save the date – Fifth Joint Arctic SAR TTX 2020 (virtual event)
Date: December 2 – 3, 14:00 – 18:00 CET both days
Location: Zoom
Since it was first organized in 2016, the Joint Arctic SAR Workshop and TTX has established itself as the most important forum for exchange and joint training for SAR entities and the Arctic expedition cruise industry. We regrettably had cancel the fifth event that was planned to take place in Hveragerði, Iceland in April 2020. We are aiming at organizing new in-person events as soon at the COVID-19 pandemic allows for it, but in the meantime we will host online events, starting with this first event on December 2 – 3, 2020.
The Joint Arctic SAR TTX 2020 will allow participants to engage in discussions and gain valuable insight into the perspectives and operational mode of the entities they will deal with in the event of an emergency. This virtual SAR TTX will gather expedition cruise operators, Arctic search and rescue (SAR) responders and other relevant stakeholders, who will be working in break out groups and in plenary sessions on a following scenario involving a cruise vessel in the Arctic.
Participation is open for members of AECO, Arctic SAR entities, ARCSAR partners and relevant authorities. Participants usually not directly involved in events like the one described above, may participate as Observers within capacity limitations. In order to organize breakout groups and give participants opportunity to discuss, there will be a limitation on number of participants. Please note that participants will be required to register for a Zoom account in order to be assigned a breakout group.
